All the pro cues are made with attention toi detail, making sure all the splicing is equal, the ash wood is hand selected and split into three categorys. Once the cue is turned or hand planed its put in a drying room for thirty days before it is fine sanded and polished.The reason why its dryed because the timer comes from differant countrys and has differant mosture contents , this minomisesthe movement it the timbers and helps to stop the joint woods from cracking .There are very thew cue manufactures who do this , so if you decide to buy a cue else were dont forget to ask them if there cues are dryed for thirty days once made and i think you will find the answer is NO ???. All our Pro cues have our quality VACUUM JOINT when many our manufactures use the old out dated screw thread . We recomend a cue with no smaller tip than 9.5mm for the game on a snooker table and to play on pool tables to get that little extra cue ball control a 8.5mm tip . ]]>THE VISIT TO THE SLATE QUARRY OCTOBER 2010. The slate factory boss after a hard days work, You can see the only slate quarry in China, mined from four sides, This is were most of the worlds snooker table and pool table slate comes from, slate is compressed CLAY over millions of years, cut out in slabs from the quarry then transported a short distance and cut up on circular saws then both surfaces are machined flat then fine grinded. Over 200 people work in this quarry and is a fantastic site to see taken out of the mountain. All our slate is quality checked and supplied by leading manufactures, its a fantastic site to see in the village were you can see very large factories down to small cutting shops. The small factories do not last long as they use a large amount of water for cutting the slate and do not have proper filtration to keep the water clean so the water is contaminated off the gray slate, you see the government closing these factories very quickly. We only use quality factories to machine our pool table slate and all of the workers have at least the minimum wage !!!!
